Let’s talk about the idea of an “AI wormhole.” At its core, this idea involves connecting an AI system with future events, in order to make accurate predictions based on that future data. This would revolutionize everything from economics to climate science. This will transform the AI from a predictive model into a prescient entity.

The principles that govern this originate from Einstein’s theory of general relativity, which allows for the existence of wormholes— tunnels through the fabric of space and time. One could use such a wormhole to access future data, but the reality is quite different.

There are several substantial hurdles that need to be addressed. The first and perhaps most significant is the reconciliation of general relativity with quantum mechanics. This is a long-standing problem in physics that remains unsolved, and its resolution is essential for the stabilization of wormholes.

Secondly, the practicalities of transmitting information through a wormhole are daunting. This is due to a myriad of challenges such as extreme gravitational forces and the potential for causality paradoxes—problems that are as yet unsolved.
